I don't think of marketing as a collection of channels. To me, it's an operating system — the connective tissue between data, creativity, and revenue. Over the past two decades, I've helped companies like Hilton Hotels, BazaarVoice, AnyDesk, Keller Williams Realty, and Domino's Pizza translate big business goals into real pipeline growth and closed-won revenue.
The secret? A lot of it comes down to improv.
I've been doing improv comedy for years — on stage and off — and it's shaped how I approach marketing more than any playbook ever could. The best improv, like the best marketing, requires you to listen deeply, adapt fast, and trust your team. You can't script your way to a great scene, and you can't template your way to breakout growth. You have to read the room, build on what's working, and know when to pivot.
That philosophy carries into how I lead. I'm at my best when Marketing, Sales, and Product are speaking the same language — aligned on pipeline, honest about what's not working, and genuinely enjoying the process of figuring it out together. I've built distributed teams across time zones and believe the best work happens when people feel trusted and have permission to fail fast and learn faster.
I've spent my career at the intersection of creative content and data analytics — launching demand engines for scrappy startups and refining go-to-market strategies for established market leaders. Outside of HubSpot dashboards and growth models, you'll find me being a dad to my four-year-old, Isla (my greatest adventure by far), playing guitar, sketching, or recharging somewhere on a trail. Those things aren't separate from the work — they're why I do it.
